I specialize in making and restoring the instruments of the violin family.
Since 2017 I've been based in the South of France, working in the calm surroundings of a small village while benefiting from contact with excellent musicians and the culture of the nearby cities of Montpellier and Nîmes.

I spent the previous ten years in the beautiful, impressive city of Genoa where Italian culture and spontaneity have influenced my work.

From 1995 until 2005 I worked in London for various violin makers and shops, in particular the Royal Academy of Music with its collection of fine stringed instruments and the expert and dealer Andreas Woywod. In this atmosphere of openness and exchange, in constant contact with precious old instruments I acquired the knowlege and experience necessary for expertise and restoration.

Concerning my training, I started at the violin-making school in Cremona and carried on for three years in the workshop of B. Eickhoff in Munich and then for one year in the atelier of Camurat Frères, Paris.
